Project Details
The project involved the refurbishment and modernisation of the Hastings Make Ready Centre for South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. The works included strengthening the workshop floor to accommodate a new generation of heavier ambulances, alongside the refurbishment of operational and staff facilities.
The refurbishment focussed on improvements to the garage area, kitchen, Crew room and existing office accommodation. It also included the refurbishment of the St John Ambulance office spaces and lecture room. The project was designed to improve the functionality of the facility while supporting the Trust’s evolving operational requirements.
We supported South East Coast Ambulance Service with feasibility studies, design development and contract administration. Working closely with the structural engineer, we developed a design solution to strengthen the existing garage floor and facilitate the introduction of the Trust’s new electric ambulance fleet, ensuring the facility is fit for future operational demands.
