We had previously carried a project management role for some external works for this client and they recently came back to us to manage a full internal refurbishment of the same property.
Our role covered a Feasibility Study, Specification, Contractor Tendering, Contract Administration and Project Management.
The internal refurbishment work covered; Removal of an en-suite, remodelling, creation of a fourth bathroom at second floor, damp proof works, plastering works, new french doors, new boilers, underfloor heating, complete M&E works to provide new lighting and additional power, new floor tiling, replacement bathroom and shower room complete redecoration.
The property is located in a conservation area so our approach had to be in keeping with all relevant guidelines. Works commenced in November 2018 and completed May 2019.
An unusual aspect of this project was the removal of the en-suite at first floor to the front elevation as the drainage did not work effectively. This created a very well-lit landing in its place, as shown below.
