Meadow Primary school had been living with a traditional and slightly gloomy school reception and were looking for a modern, more welcoming new school reception area design that made better use of the available space and light.
Having worked with the school before, Chawton Hill were engaged as Principle Designers and Contract Administrators to deliver the best possible design solution, tender price and manage the project through to delivery.
The work schedule included; internal partition alterations, new lighting, heating modifications, a new reception counter, new and modifications to the existing small power, data sockets, modular ceilings, floor finishes and decorations.
The final design delivered an open, airy reception where school visitors and parents could be met by school staff and if required use the new meeting room for more private discussions. A system called EntrySign by Osborne Technologies was specified, making signing school visitors in and out quicker and easier than costly paper-based signing in books. The system records the attendance of staff, visitors and contractors, allowing reception staff to quickly identify and manage reception visitors.
Main contractor, Complete Interior Design won the tender analysis process, providing a cost effective solution backed by many years of experience and industry expertise within the educational sector in London and the South East.
