Yusuf Kassim is an Assistant Surveyor with a degree in architecture (Part II-standard). He has worked on residential and commercial projects whilst in the architectural design and town planning sector. He then worked in fire safety and compliance in a social housing capacity.

Yusuf has a number of years experience working as an architectural assistant. His skills include using CAD and BIM design software. He represented his family-run town planning consultancy, ASK Planning, in a number of competition projects. Yusuf prides himself on a detail and compliance-focused approach.

During his time with Newlon Housing Trust, Yusuf worked as a fire door inspector and then a regeneration officer. He was involved in the management of over 8,000 properties around North and East London.

His time as a regeneration officer also introduced him to the world of surveying and asset management. He has spent time working closely with contractors on a £15 million regeneration project in Islington, being central to the management of the ongoing kitchen & bathroom renovation and fire door/front door entrance (FED) installation programmes. He was also entrusted with undertaking progress reports and stock condition surveys of several apartment blocks, whilst on site.

He is set to commence his formal training to become RICS-chartered through the APC route, starting from April 2026.
