Alex Shepherd joined the team in September 2022 as a graduate surveyor. He holds a BSc in building surveying from the University of Reading, and like many students of his cohort had to cope with the trials of remote learning as a result of the pandemic. Alex cut his teeth in the industry working with another firm, focussing on residential condition surveys and other projects. This provided a solid grounding in the work he now carries out at Chawton Hill.

In Alex’s earlier years, his family background was working in the Church of England, so he comes with a strong understanding of the workings of churches and religious settings. He also has a strong construction background in the family, which led to his initial interest in surveying and project management.
