Steve Holmes has many years of experience in the building industry and has worked on a diverse range of building and development projects. He has been involved in team management and business development for a range of companies and has now focused his attention on the exciting challenges that Chawton Hill Associates Ltd creates. As a Founder he maintains close contact with clients, and follows each project through to completion. James is a skilled and proficient Chartered Building Surveyor. He has a wealth of experience in residential work and is an expert in Party Wall matters and in dealing with insurance and loss adjusters to assist with our client’s claims. Abigail Peters | Building Surveyor
Abigail (Abi) is an experienced and dedicated Building Surveyor who has a wealth of Building Control knowledge together with an excellent technical knowledge and CAD skills. Andrew Stott | Building Surveyor
Andrew has a BSc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying and the Environment and is a Certified member of the British Institute of Facilities Managers.
Andrew brings experience from the educational and retail sectors in Facilities Management and Health and Safety. He is IOSH certified by ROSPA and by combining his technical knowledge, client liaison experience and green building expertise, he is able to smoothly guide our clients throughout the construction process.
Cathal McGuigan | Building Surveyor
Cathal has a BSc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying and a Diploma in Industrial Studies. Cathal has experience of working in a multi-disciplinary company where he designed, specified and ran projects on site as well as undertaking a range of surveys and services for mostly public sector clients. David is a very experienced building professional and has managed a number of successful companies prior to joining us.
He is also a seasoned hand at spotting construction problems and works well with any on site team to ensure that each construction project is a safe.

Paul Summers | Building Surveyor Middlesex
Paul is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building, the Chartered Association of Building Engineers and is an Associate Member of RICS. Paul brings over 30 years of surveying and loss adjuster experience to Chawton Hill specialising in recent years with subsidence fire and flood restoration projects as well as building surveys, party wall matters and schedules of condition.

Chris Walker | Building Surveyor Kent
Chris is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers and an Associate Member of RICS. He has a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Chartered Building Engineer. Chris brings over 20 years of surveying and engineering experience to Chawton Hill specialising in recent years with survey, assessment, specification, design and management of development and refurbishment works. He has a wealth of experience in assessing building defects and designing solutions to enable continued use and development of buildings.

Mark Knight | Building Surveyor Surrey & Gloucester
Mark is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Building Surveying Division and holds a Diploma in Surveying from the College of Estate Management at Reading University. He is also an ECO accredited Surveyor having completed the Energy Companies Obligation training with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Mark has experience in both residential and commercial property surveys, valuation works and completion of the RICS Building Survey report.
Mark covers the Gloucester region on a Monday and Friday and supports our HQ Surrey building surveyors for the rest of the week.Email Mark
Graham Driver | Building Surveyor Suffolk
Graham is an Associate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has a BSc in Building Surveying from De Montfort University, Leicester. With over 30 years experience in the property industry, Graham has a wide experience surveying commercial and residential properties of all types and sizes. He is also experienced in Party Wall matters and dilapidations.

Kimberley became a member of the Chawton Hill team as a Personal Assistant to both Directors, after previous personal assistant roles, including working for another Chartered Surveyors for 4 years. Kimberley’s key roles are meeting and greeting clients, managing all incoming telephone calls to our surveyors and providing administrative support. In addition, she manages the building survey side of the business and is involved in providing quotations, booking surveys with Estate Agents and Clients and preparing high quality reports. Sue has over 16 years’ experience in various administration and assistant roles in blue chip companies such as Arthur Andersen, Deloitte and most recently Robert Dyas.
