Team Day Out To Lille

In December 2023, the Chawton Hill team, joined by Limeslade, headed to Lille. Instead of the usual Christmas lunch in London or somewhere in Surrey, the team decided to take to the Eurostar. An early start, despite the threat of being thwarted by a rail strike, the gang made it to St Pancras station for the 0900 train to Lille.

Despite the bitter cold, we warmed up with a drink in one of the city’s brasseries, took a look around the Christmas market. Doing our best not to get distracted by the exotic European shopping experiences of ‘Primark’ and ‘Five Guys’, we then headed for an outstanding French lunch at Brasserie Andre, where we were treated to some proper French gastronomie!
