Directors, Dave and James were honoured to receive an invitation to the official opening of Fusebox Kingston. The formal project opening by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh was at the start of July 2023. Constructed in the basement of the John Lewis building and housed in the footings of the ancient Kingston Bridge, the project provides a unique space for local group, Creative Youth. The 750 square metre space features areas for performance, exhibitions, creative practice, socialising, co-creation and more.

Chawton Hill and Fusebox

Chawton Hill supported Kingston Council with specification and management of the strip-out works on the Fusebox project. Our support included coordinating information between RBK, JLP and Creative Youth (and their contractors). We provided assistance with the lease negotiations (demise drawings, escape routes, service routes etc).

It’s an absolute pleasure to see such an innovative project come to fruition. Congratulations to everyone involved in the project and we look forward to seeing it develop over the coming months and years.
