Ecclesiastical experience & expertise

Ecclesiastical experience, Church hall in Effingham

Our ecclesiastical experience stretches back to the inception of Chawton Hill. Over the years and numerous projects we have built up a detailed understanding on how best to design and successfully manage the build of e.g. Church Extensions, Halls and Community Buildings.

We are very experienced in gaining planning approval on greenbelt sites or within conservation areas. Our sympathetic use of matching external materials helps the design meet conservation area requirements and by careful use of levels we can reduce the visual impact of a new building, helping it harmonise with adjacent buildings.

We specify the latest energy efficient and programmable lighting, under floor heating and solar glazing. Our space planning systems maximise all of the available accommodation within the building and through experience, we effectively plan works on occupied sites and in close proximity to neighbouring properties, keeping disruption and inconvenience to a minimum.

Our ecclesiastical experienced extends to carrying out Quinquennial Reports having inspected a range of Churches and ancillary buildings for our clients and would welcome the opportunity to provide details of our experience in this particular field.

Two exceptional Catholic Church Community facilities in the Parish of Effingham and Fetcham opened by Bishop Richard Moth of the  Diocese of Arundel and Brighton (see the pictures above).

Last year we achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification, ensuring our internal works systems and customer service levels were as efficient as possible.

  1. Dear Sir

My name is Daniel Whittington and I am the Director of Fernwood Interiors Ltd a new shop fitting and restaraunt fitting company from Surrey. I have over 15 years experience in the industry working with some big clients including Nandos, Butlins, Ask and many more. I have also built coffee shops for The Imperial War Museum and Royal Pavillion Brighton. I am currently doing a project at my church creating a new servery to serve teas coffees and food as we are looking at using the church to do more to raise funds part of my PCC obligation.
I would really like to do some more work in churches and halls as since being asked to join the parish committee and sorting projects out for our church and hall it is amazing how much it means to both me and them.

Would really like to meet up please let me know when this is possible just to give me a chance to show what we as a business can offer
