Lord Carter’s report on Ambulance Service Trusts makes this specific recommendation;
‘make ready systems must be put in place across the country to drive productivity’ he adds
‘the introduction of a make ready system is a key enabler to productivity and can support significant savings through modernising trust estates.’
Chawton Hill has now delivered all but 1 of the 6 Make Ready Centres for the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb). With another 4 SECAmb Make Ready Centres planned for 2019/20, we are very proud to be recognised as lead consultants on these ‘key enablers to productivity’.
Tim Fellows, Head of Operations at SECAmb recently commented on our service by saying ‘A mixture of strong and effective project management coupled with a willingness to go that extra yard to help us engage and meet our staff’s expectations and ideas, has helped the project progress smoothly.’
It’s that element of staff engagement, scheduled post completion audit and unrivaled experience that have helped us create a Make Ready Centre model that can be applied and adapted across all Ambulance Service Trusts.
