St Georges College Junior School – Weybridge

New classroom block

The existing timber classroom at the junior school had come to the end of its serviceable life. A new purpose built classroom was designed to harmonize with the existing building and provide the latest in learning facilities including an audio visual installation incorporating an inter active whiteboard and sound recording facilities.

Chapel Alterations

The existing chapel required improvements and alterations to enable it accommodate the school congregation. Improvements included the relocation of the font and side vestry area to form enlarged seating spaces facing towards the altar.

The refurbishment included new lighting, seating entrance doors and internal redecoration.

New Dining and Kitchen Facilities

The Junior School required a radical approach to solve a problem with an out dated kitchen and temporary dining facilities. A new kitchen was designed and a new building was adjoined to the existing structures to serve a new dining facility.

The project involved Listed Building Consent, new gas and electricity supplies and the demolition of a range of out buildings and maintenance stores.

The external areas have been landscaped and the new dining facility link around a central bar and servery. Each area is capable of being divided from the adjoining spaces by the use of sound insulating folding partitions.

St. Teresa's School - Effingham Hill, Dorking

We provided project management and contract administration for the School’s new 25 metre 4 lane swimming pool. A bespoke air handling and filtration plant is located in the plant room and the whole structure is encased by a laminated timber frame with highly insulated roof and wall panels.

The School’s original swimming pool was a 28 metre outdoor facility, with external brick built changing rooms set back from the pool edge.

The adopted design provided a pool based on the original footprint, with new changing facilities and a first floor level viewing gallery and conference room. The School enjoys year round lettings and enhanced facilities as a result of the new complex.

Performing Arts Centre

The new Performing Arts Centre provides an exceptional performance venue for the school incorporating the latest audio visual technology linking the music and drama departments together.

The Performing Arts Centre has a lower ground floor that provides 2 large Drama spaces, 3 music rooms, practice rooms and a sound recording studio.

The construction period was 52 weeks and the facility has become an important local performance venue.

Greenacre School – Da Vinci Centre

Our involvement spanned from inception through to completion of the commission to design and construct a new two storey multi functional building.

The building provides both junior and senior music and drama facilities, together with a photography suite dark room, food technology, art and general teaching rooms.

The new Da Vinci Centre links to the existing science block to provide fully accessible accommodation.

Commercial Property

22-30 North Street, Leatherhead.

Faced with the prospect of a premises with a difficult planning history, we were commissioned to maximise the residential and retail opportunities available to our client.

We designed imaginative apartments located over the retail premises and obtained Planning Permission for both a dental practice and a restaurant for the whole of the ground floor.

Trimble House, Bold Street, Warrington.

We provided a premises evaluation and condition survey for our telecommunications client who relocated from the South East to the North West.

The survey identified a number of key issues with the structure, which enabled our clients to make decisions about the future room layouts and to adapt their strategic planning for further expansion.
